A saline water solution or purified water can be used in your nebulizer instead of medicine. If you’re travelling and forgot your medication and you really just need a quick session with your nebulizer, water mist has the healing properties to calm the nasal passage and enter the lungs.

How do you know when nebulizer session is done?

Breathe in and out slowly and deeply through your mouth until the mist is gone. The session is over when all the medicine is gone or there is no more mist coming out. The whole session may take up to 20 minutes. The machine may also make a sputtering noise when the session is done.
