• What is the difference between Stage 1 and Farex stage 2 formula?
  First stage infant formula and second stage infant formula are nutritionally the same. The difference between them is the type of protein that is used. First stage infant milk’s are predominately whey protein and second stage infant milks – marketed for hungrier babies, contain more casein protein.
• What is the point of Farex stage 2 formula?
  Stage 2 formulas are intended for older babies, from six months onwards, and are also known as “follow-on formulas.” Although they are very similar to Stage 1 formulas, they have slightly more protein and different amounts of certain nutrients, in order to supply babies with the proper nutrition they need at this age.
• Is Farex stage 2 formula thicker?
  It contains more of the casein and less of the whey protein and forms a thicker curd in the stomach which takes longer to digest and so stage 2 milks are often marketed as being for hungrier babies.
• When should I switch to Farex stage 2 formula?
  You can use stage 1 formulas from 0-12 months old. From 6 months, you can choose stage 2 or follow-on formula.
